We are delighted to announce that we have moved to a larger, dedicated facility in Rubery, Birmingham, combining offices, manufacturing, assembly and warehousing. 

The relocation comes as a result of our phenomenal growth over the past few years, which has seen significant investment in our workforce, the introduction of new products, and the growing demand for our products for construction projects throughout the UK and Ireland.

Expanding our operation to larger and more user-friendly offices and warehousing facilities means we can now continue to progress with our plans for further sales growth and product development as well as providing enhanced sales and technical support and increased stock levels to our customer base.

Kemwell Fire was formed in 2017, borne out of the acquisition of a long-established fire protection company, and has quickly grown to become one of the UK and Ireland’s most respected names in passive fire protection, cladding and insulation. Kemwell is proud to expand our product offering once again and bring Kemwell Corex A1 to the UK and Ireland markets.

Kemwell Corex A1 is a non-combustible gypsum board for applications where superior fire performance and innovative solutions are required, such as structural steel protection, shaft walls, partitions, and ceiling linings.

A building with a steel frame system should withstand fire, without losing its integrity during the fire, at least for long enough to evacuate people from the building. To achieve this, the load-bearing steel columns and beams must maintain their integrity at high temperatures for long periods without losing their carrying capacity and integrity. Steel encased with Kemwell Corex A1 can maintain their load-bearing capacity for up to 240 minutes.

The core of Kemwell Corex A1 is reinforced with special additives to enhance fire resistance and moisture resistance meaning the board can be installed prior to the building becoming weather-tight. Both sides of Kemwell Corex A1 are covered with a completely non-flammable fibre glass mat, meaning the board is classified as A1 non-combustible in accordance with EN 13501-1.

Supporting our customers during this difficult time

We are taking our responsibility to #FlattenTheCurve seriously here at Kemwell Fire International Limited and are doing our part to help contain the spread of this virus.

Due to our incredibly dedicated staff, KFI is still open for business. We still have stock of many of our boards with more set to be replenished soon and we are still taking orders.

Collections and deliveries are continuing as normal as possible but with heightened measures to ensure our staff and partners stay healthy and safe. We will let you know if these services need to change in the future.

To help with social distancing measures our Sales and Support team are now working from home – so contact them and make sure they’re not drinking too much tea and watching too much TV!

CHRISTMAS DELIVERIES AND OPENING

Kemwell Fire will be closed from 20th December 2019. We will reopen on 2nd January 2020. The last date for deliveries will be on Thursday 19th December.
