PROJECT
Dandara chose Kemwell Soffit Liner Plus as their material of choice for the new basement-level car park at the New River View development in Enfield.
The New River View apartments, being built by principal contractors, Dandara, are due to be completed in Winter 2021. The redevelopment of the site includes the demolition of the existing commercial building to provide a 7 storey block of 91 residential units, with a parking basement level, landscaping and private and communal amenity space.
KEMWELL PRODUCTS
As part of the project, Dandara required a soffit insulation for the basement level car park with a high thermal performance, able to achieve the required U Value, with a durable impact-resistant facing board, light in weight, but robust enough to withstand high impact.
For the soffit insulation for the car park, Dandara chose Kemwell Soffit Liner Plus, an A1 non-combustible and moisture resistant insulation and building board, ideally suited for providing effective fire resistance and thermal insulation in commercial and industrial building projects.
The Kemwell Soffit Liner Plus incorporates a Kemwell Soffit Liner stone mineral wool insulation board, 160mm thick, with a 6mm thick calcium silicate impact resistant facing board.
The product was supplied by Encon Insulation and Nevill Long via their Maidstone branch for this project.

“The U Value assessment undertaken at site meant an insulated liner board would be required to our basement soffit. Encon were able to recommend and provide an insulated liner board to meet our requirements. Encon were able to deliver to site to suit our schedule, which helped with the seamless installation.”
